DEFENSIVE STANCE BUILDER | DRILL BREAKDOWN | ALL AGES & SKILL LEVELS

🏀The purpose of this drill is to improve our defensive stance by strengthening the muscles that support a proper defensive foundation.
🔑 The key to this drill is to maintain a proper posture. Keep a wide base and get low. Bend your knees, keep your chest up and your butt and hips down toward the floor.
1️⃣Begin at the three point line with the ball on the ground. Get in your low stance, and use your outside hand to tap the ball with you as you slide laterally toward the paint. Keep your free hand out and up as if you were defending an opponent.
2️⃣ Keep your first step long and your second step short.
3️⃣Once you reach the paint, switch hands and directions, moving back toward the three point line. 📈 Practice this Defensive Stance Builder anywhere, with or without a ball, no matter your skill level.
