5 Camps, 5 Continents: A Look at Basketball Without Borders 2019-2020

Basketball Without Borders is the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development initiative that unites young basketball players to promote the sport of basketball as well as leadership, health and wellness. Since the program launched in 2001, the NBA and FIBA have staged 62 camps in 39 cities across 30 countries and six continents, and 77* BWB participants have gone on to be drafted or signed as free agents in the NBA and WNBA. At the heart of the BWB concept is a four-day camp bringing together top young basketball prospects aged 18-and-under from Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region to compete, learn, develop and play the game they love. Watch as we recap the 2019-2020 BWB season, which consists of four regional BWB camps in Colombia, Latvia, Senegal and Japan, and culminates at BWB Global, held over NBA All-Star Weekend, which brings together the top 64 international prospects to showcase their talents at the highest level.
